back FGC/Atlanta Meets
the first tuesday of
each month, 7:30 to
9:30 pm, to check in,
support each other in .
our efforts to shift
culture, and replenish
and deepen the old
spirit. There is usually
a speaker or video to
aid our exploration of
values, of what lies
beneath the behavior
that threatens to
undermine our life
system, and how we
might create a
cultural shift, how we
might adopt values
appropriate to a
sustainable society.
It seems to us that the process of dialogue
is part of the answer to HOW we are to create a cultural shift
in values and so we conduct our meetings with this in mind. Dialogue
involves listening, hearing each other, NOT refuting but HEARING.
Everyone has a piece of the truth. If we remain open we might
hear it.

The Foundation for Global Community/Atlanta's
next monthly Forum will be 1/13/09, changing from first tuesday for scheduling reasons. We
will have a speaker this month, Karen Hutcheson, a Green Construction
Management worker who will speak on Eco Forte. 7:30pm. Also we will be
doing our annual ritual where we commit to dropping
negative traits and what we might offer the new year from our
energy and talents.
Directions: tf@thinkspeak.net
FGC's mission is to become spiritual
agents of change for a culture that benefits all of life.
FGC considers dialogue a critical
ingredient in how we shift societal values from fear and domination
to reverence for life and a sustainable relationship within the
life system.
